Myrthia Thermal Spa, an adult only spa*, is an ultra modern venue dedicated to your beauty & health.

Myrthia Thermal Spa leverages this advantage through its facility covering 3,000m2 on two levels. It capitalizes on the unique geothermal springs found in the region. These natural thermal waters are rich in minerals and have therapeutic properties, making them ideal for various health and wellness treatments.

The great Thalassotherapy pool is directly linked to the sea with water that is heated and maintained at a stable temperature, while there is another Thalasso that becomes an infinity pool. The hydrotherapy area features three natural hot water pools and a rest area with a bar and magnificent views over the Aegean Sea and Mount Athos.

The spa offers a wide range of treatments and wellness programs designed to rejuvenate the body and mind. These include hydrotherapy, thalassotherapy, and a variety of massages and beauty treatments. 

* The indoor spa facilities are an adult sanctuary and children under the age of 12 years old are not permitted to use the indoor pools. 

Only children from 12 years until 16 years old are allowed from 10:00 until 14:00 under their parent's supervision and reservation with the spa reception.

Kanistro Spring WaterWater Resources

In the heart of Miraggio Thermal Spa Resort springs, an ancient source of care and rejuvenation. It is the source of the Myrthia Thermal Spa, known as Nero* Kanistrou and recognized by the National Commission for the Protection of Water Resources as a natural hot spring.

Its distance from the sea is 240m. Its origin is meteoric. Its waters travel and branch underground, reaching as far as Olympus. Nero Kanistrou reaches the surface at a temperature of about 30–32˚C, passing through primordial rocks at a depth of 270 meters. Its metallic texture is formed during its course, while its temperature decreases at the end of the upward path, due to its mixing with colder surface waters. The flow rate is 50 cubic meters per hour.

Nero Kanistrou is characterized as thermal water, thermo-metallic, highly carbonated & hypertonic.

The location, origin and natural composition of the source determine its therapeutic value.

The Myrthia Thermal Spa has 3 thermal pools, each one containing thermal spring water pumping directly from the source at 32. The geothermal water is rich in minerals, specifically effective at treating skin and musculoskeletal disorders.

Therapeutic Indications: For ailments of the bones and joints-muscles, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, slipped disc, myitis myalgia, tendonitis, old fractures, cervical syndrome. Skin ailments: seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, acne, eczemas. Urinary and gynecological ailments.

Improved Circulation: The heat from the thermal waters helps to dilate blood vessels, enhancing blood flow and oxygenation to tissues, which can improve overall cardiovascular health.

The Thalasso pool is warm up to 30℃ - 32℃.  Among several benefits’ seawater has the power to beautify, rejuvenate and heal due to its similar composition to the blood serum. 

The trace elements of seawater offer anti-inflammatory and soothing properties. They offer light walking because they improve circulation problems, especially swelling in the legs. It is an ally of the skin and a weapon against aging because the skin regains its radiance and freshness.

Detoxification: Thalassotherapy pools aid in the elimination of toxins from the body, thanks to the high mineral content and hydrodynamic properties of seawater.

Skin Health: The minerals and trace elements found in seawater, such as magnesium, potassium, and calcium, can improve skin health, hydration, and appearance.

The Thalassotherapy pool has a variety of 17 hydro jets that includes 2 waterfalls, 4 head water jets, jets for the lower & upper back, and reflexology jets. The water walking path includes jets that throw water continuously and let you walk on the opposite side for leg improvement & blood circulation

Thalasso Infinity Pool

The Thalasso Infinity Pool is warm up to 30℃ - 32℃, and starts from the inside area of the spa to the outside balcony with an amazing view of the Toroneo Gulf and Mount Athos. The heated seawater strengthens the resistance of our body against viruses and bacteria. It helps us regain mental balance, positive energy, regain self-confidence and more relaxed behavior against stressful situations among others. Inside the Thalasso Infinity Pool there are 10 hydro-jet sunbeds for relief of stiffness, pain, and muscle tightness.

The Thermal Well-Life suite is a specific zone with a selection of cold and hot experiences to be enjoyed separately or in a sequence.

It includes:  

  • Steam room on 50 degrees Celsius with 100% humidity, heated benches & individual throne chairs with capacity of 8–10 guests
  • Finnish Sauna on 90–100 degrees Celsius with dry environment, and capacity of 10–15 guests
  • Herbal Sauna on 45 degrees Celsius with 50% humidity and natural herbal essences and heated benches and walls, up to 8–10 guests
  • Tepidarium on 35 degrees Celsius with 20% humidity, heated benches, and marble footrests, up to 5–8 guests
